The site was acquired by Paste Magazine in late November, shortly after G/O Media announced Jezebel was shutting down. Tousignant joined the feminist website in 2022 as a senior editor, and was named interim editor-in-chief this summer. Her career includes nearly nine years at the New York Post, where she held a variety of roles, including deputy digital editor.
