HOW TO USE A PRESS MAILING LIST


1. BE AWARE THAT DATA NEEDS TO BE HANDLED WITH CARE

We make our press mailing list available for startups and creative entrepreneurs, because we believe that journalists have a reasonable interest in hearing the founders stories from the founders themselves.

With this new trend of do-it-yourself PR however comes the responsibility to handle this business data with good care.

Whether you are an inventor, creator or innovator, you are reliable to work with the data you are receiving with the same caution as a corporate company has to handle their data flow.


2. KEEP YOUR DATA UP-TO-DATE

We are providing you with tip box email addresses as well as journalists' and bloggers' direct email addresses when they publicly (on the internet or in print) make these addresses available for pitches.

We are constantly updating the lists.

When you contact a journalist, influencer or blogger that does not want to receive any further content from you, immediately remove the contact in your data base and never contact this address again.


3. NEVER SEND A MASS EMAIL

Do not start a blindcopy email or mass email as a newsletter campaign. The contacts you received did not yet subscribed for your news.

Instead, start with a careful research of which outlets are actually relevant to your topic (consider the area you want to reach out to, and the topics the outlet is covering). Craft a custom pitch to selected journalists who can help you achieve your objectives. Tightly focused, interest driven publications are your goal. Then send a plain text email with a direct pitch.

We are working hard to add publicly available Linkedin and Twitter profiles to every contact, so you can make first contacts over social platforms to limit email campaigns for the first reach-out.
