Pinterest Predicts 2026 has dropped! And according to their research and experts, maximalism is in and trends are bolder than ever. Here are the trends predicted for the beauty space:
Gimme Gummy
A major trend Pinterest predicts is gummy and jelly to take over all aspects from accessories to nails to beauty. The trend report highlights that recent searches for jelly blush have increased 130%.
Scent Stacking
Fragrance will be personal now more than ever in 2026. Niche and custom perfumes are in, whether mixing or trying an indie brand. Pinterest says: “It’s time to mix up your spritz. Gen Z and Millennials are ditching one-and-done scents for bespoke notes, blending oils and perfumes to craft their very own fragrance formulas. Expect luxury to linger in layers next year.” Hey indie fragrance and beauty brands, capitalize on this!
Laced Up
For a fun accent, lace is beauty and grace! Lace nails and lace makeup accents are in with an increase in searches by 215% and 120%! The app cites “Gen Z and Millennials are driving this trend, gently reminding us that more is more”, defending the maximalist side of their predictions.
Vamp Romantic
For overall makeup trends, “dark romantic” and “frosted makeup” are front runners for 2026 makeup trends.
Glitchy Glam
Makeup and nail trends refuse symmetry going for “glitchy glam” such as “nails with different colors on each hand +125% and eccentric makeup +100%”.
